If an applicant does choose to leave a role you have placed them in, depending on when this happens, for fixed fee placements you may have to refund the client some of the fee. In other words, whilst a placement is within a rebate period the fee associated with it is vulnerable.
In itris, you can add rebates to any fixed fee placements. A fixed fee placement is any permanent placement or contract and temporary placements that have a one-off charge.
When agreeing terms with a client you can add rebate stages to their itris record (please see the Company Terms, Fees & Rebates article for more information), and when creating a placement, these will be pulled through to the placement record.
If relevant the rebate stages can be added or edited at the point of creating the placement or once it’s been created.
Once the placement is created itris will track the progress through the rebate stages. You can also select here to edit if required. Additionally, you can track all of your placements within their rebate period in your Dashboard (see the Dashboard | Active Business Intelligence article).
If the placement ends during the rebate period, you can use the Rebate icon on the Action Bar to add in the rebate details.
The rebate fields won’t automatically be populated in the new rebate window as there may be special circumstances applied to the rebate. However, you are shown where the placement is in the rebate stages (if they exist on the record). You can either enter the percentage, which then works out the rebate amount or vice versa. You are then shown below both the original value of the placement and what the value is after the rebate is deducted. This change in the placements value is then reflected in all relevant reports.
Once saved the rebate values will display. Hovering over the rebate area will allow you to undo the rebate.
Additional functionality in itris means that when you are progressing an applicant through the submissions process or Marketing their CV, if they are within a rebate period in a placement, you will receive a warning to this effect. Also, you can choose to search for applicants and placements within the rebate period. Please see the Applicant Searching and Placement Searching articles for more information.
