⚠️ Breaking Changes

As a result of the timezone awareness improvements described below, the datetime format returned by the itris API has been updated to include the timezone offset. For example, a datetime value that was previously returned as 2024-09-20T12:00:00 will now be returned as 2024-09-20T12:00:00+01:00.

If you are using the itris API to integrate with external platforms, please ensure those platforms are able to handle the new datetime format before updating.

✨ New Features

Authentication 2.0

We are excited to announce that we’ve made significant improvements to our authentication model, resulting in a more secure itris database. This enhancement includes a number of benefits, including:

• A new itris Id portal that allows users to manage a single login to access multiple itris databases.
• Users can now enable 2-step verification to further secure their accounts.
• Administrators can optionally enforce 2-step verification for all users if required.
• The new user creation process has been streamlined with email invitations providing everything they need to get started.
• Users are now able to reset their own password without the need to contact an administrator.

Webhooks

Over the last year, we have embarked on an initiative to offer more first party integrations with popular recruitment tools and apps. With the initial introduction of Webhooks, you can seamlessly integrate itris with external systems by notifying them when specific events occur within your database. Configure webhooks to automate processes and ensure data synchronisation across platforms.

To begin with, the triggers offered are centred on main record creation. Some example use cases of Webhooks include:

• Adding a new applicant and / or contact to an email marketing list.
• Sending a message in Teams or Slack when a placement is created.
• Sending a registration pack to an applicant that has been registered.
• Creating a customer in your back office system like Xero or Quickbooks.

Webhooks are the pre-cursor to our upcoming Zapier integration for automations.

Record Sharing

You can now easily copy a shareable link to any of the main records in itris. Clicking the link will take the recipient directly to the record in itris, providing a quick and easy way to share information with colleagues.

🔥 Improvements

We are always making improvements to various areas in itris from usability enhancements to customer feedback. Here’s what we’ve improved in 9.30:

• Much of itris is now timezone aware, meaning that dates and times are displayed in the timezone of the user viewing them. This is particularly useful for teams that work in a different timezone to the itris database.
• When marketing CVs, there is now an indicator to display warnings when a contact has been marketed to recently. Additionally, you can now optionally configure itris to prevent marketing to a contact if they have been marketed to within a specified timeframe.
• When selecting users, the current user (you) will now always show at the top for ease.
