Access Groups are itris’s way of segregating data within a single database, making certain records invisible to anyone who shouldn’t see them.
They can be applied to Applicants, Companies, Contacts, Jobs, and Placements, so pretty much every core record type can be locked down.
Think about how your business is set up. Operating several brands from one database? Give each brand its own Access Group so consultants only see their own clients and candidates. Split across offices or markets? Use Access Groups to keep regional data separate. Running internal recruitment alongside client work? Put those sensitive Applicant and Job records in their own Access Group so they stay confidential.
Handy to know: if a record isn’t assigned to an Access Group, it’s visible to everyone. And each record can only belong to one Access Group at a time, so choose the right one before saving.
